UK candle making supplies - Candle making wax

These are additives that can be added to your candle wax to help achieve the processing or end results that you require. Our blended paraffin wax and natural container wax already have all the additives required to produce outstanding candles though other applications and finishes can be achieved with the addition of other wax additives.

Palm wax

The natural palm wax
is powdered.

The micro-wax soft comes in 20g discs or 500g slabs.

Natural Palm Stearin

Powdered available 200g or 800g Bags

Stearin is added to candle wax to harden the finished candle, give it better burning qualities, depth of colour and opacity.
It also helps mould release for candles made using metal or polycarbonate moulds
Do not use in rubber moulds
Mix at 2% to 10%

Micro-wax Soft

20g Disc's or 500g Slab

Soft Micro-wax can be used as a substitute for stearin when you are using rubber moulds. It also adds rigidity to pillars as well as reducing or eliminating mottling without adding opaticy.

CS Vybar 2008

Beaded available 50g or 200g Bags

An opacifier and hardener commonly used when stearine is not appropriate (eg with rubber moulds)As well as opacifying and hardening, it helps retain oils - usually from perfumes - to minimise the sweating of the oils from the candle.
Mix at up to 2%
