The NT candle wick has been specially braided for use in bees wax candles though it proves to be just as successful in stearin candles and natural candle sands which often prove hard to wick.
The smaller sizes of NT candle wick can also be used in some soy waxes that do not work well with conventional natural wicks.

A guide for the pool diameter of each size of NT wick has proved to be near impossible as there is not a standard bees wax to match it to. The guide for the bees wax candle diameters and the size of NT wick needed therefore is very much a guide to a group of wick sizes that should bring you close to the wick you require, the exact size will only be found by testing the wick with your bees wax and making a note of the wax pool that is achieved. As most seasoned candle makers know this is generally the only way to find a good combination of materials to get the perfect candle anyway, we only regret that we cannot put you any closer to a single starting wick which would make your candle making a little easier.
