Waxed candle wick is suitable for use in container candles to give some stability whilst placed in melted wax or as a pre-waxed pillar candle wick. It has also now become very popular for craft candle makers as an easy way to wick a candle after it has been made; the hole in the candle for the wick to be inserted into is left by placing a needle or pin into your mould before you pour your candle wax.

Waxed candle wick is cut to lengths and is available with a paraffin, natural, or bees wax coating. If you want sustainers fitted they are available in four different types.

It is very easy to order the wick that you would like with the wax coating that you require, the wax coating would idealy match the wax that you are using to make a candle. The length of waxed wick that you require depends on the size of the candle you are making just remember to get a wick that is longer than your candle to allow a few milimetres for working and of course around 6mm left for lighting. If you require wick sustainers fitted please be aware that the 15mm sustainers can only be fitted to wicks up to a certain size.

Votive Candle Wick
If you are looking for a waxed wick for use in a votive candle then you should look in the votive wick section which has the most commonly used wick in votive candle making.
Small Amount of Waxed Wick
If you would like to try the candle wick and do not want to commit yourself to 50 pieces of candle wick go to the wick sample page and get five lengths of the waxed wick you want to try.
Bees Waxed Wick
The CSN and the NT wicks are suitable for use in bees wax candles and are available with a bees waxed coating if needed. Testing wick suitability is always advised before you purchase large amounts of wick but even more so if you are using bees wax. Not all bees wax is the same and different burning behaviour is quite common from
one batch of wax to another.
