Sometimes it is a difficult task to find the wick that is suitable for your purpose as well as the raw materials you are using. A working wicks behaviour can be altered with the adding of another additive or larger quantities of fragrance etc. so the need for testing is essential.
We offer this sample service so you can purchase a small amount of any wick to ensure its suitability to the candles you are making.

Waxed Wick Sample
The waxed wick sample packs are made up of five lengths of waxed wick that are 200mm long. The waxed sample wicks are only available with one wax coating the Wedo LX, ECO, CSN, RRD, and the CS-NT are natural waxed. The TL, Flatwick, paper, and cotton cored wicks are paraffin waxed
Unwaxed Wick Sample
The raw wick sample packs will be made up
with 5 metres of each wick selected. The wick is wound onto a cardboard bobbin and in some cases when more than one wick is selected two wicks maybe wound onto the same bobbin. This is the best way to get several wicks for testing.

Wedo LX Wick
For use in natural or paraffin candle waxes - Prices do not include VAT at 17.5%
The LX wick is very good for use with any fully refined paraffin wax to make pillar, votive, and container candles.
The Wedo LX wick also works well in natural soy candle making for pillar and container candles. Larger LX wicks are needed when using EcoSoya than are used in the Soya+ and it is advisable to use several wicks when making a large candle using the EcoSoya wax.

Wedo Eco Wick

The ECO wick can be used in paraffin and natural waxes. When making natural candles using Soy wax it is a good idea to have an ECO wick included in your testing as dependant on your view or tastes of a burning candle you may find the Wedo ECO wick to be your personal favourite.

Wedo RRD Wick

A directional round wick for use with natural candle wax and it is especially suited for use with the EcoSoya waxes. The RRD50 and RRD55 will melt a wax pool of around 75mm (3") when used in the Ecosoya wax.
The waxed wick will have an arrow on the packaging to show direction unwaxed wick has a knot to show top.

Another round wick for use in natural wax that also performs well in the EcoSoya natural candle wax. The CSN14 will melt a wax pool of around 70mm when used in EcoSoya wax.
The round wicks need trimming to around 5mm in length before each lighting of the candle.

The CandleShack NT wick has been prodominatley manufactured for use with beeswax candle making and a large selection of the NT wick is needed to find the one most suited to your particular beeswax candles.
The smaller NT wick has also proved to be very succesfull when used in candles made from the EcoSoya natural wax. We cut a lot of NT wick for use in tealight and votive candles made from the EcoSoya advanced and pillar natural wax blends.

CS Cotton Cored Wick
Only used in paraffin waxed candles - Prices do not include VAT at 17.5%
The CandleShack cotton cored wick is the best selling wick for use with paraffin wax to make pillar candles though it is good to remember it will not perform in natural wax.
It is also important to note that for optimum burn performance the wick needs to be trimmed to 5mm before each lighting of the candle.
