Candles made with a natural wood wick are enhanced with the soothing fragrance of burning wood combined with the crackling sound of a wood fire. The wood wick is the best option for candle making with left over wax all you need to do is find a suitable jar or container, melt your wax, pour and add the wooden wick. Natural waxes which can prove to be hard to wick are ideal for use with these wood wicks.

The amount of crackle you get with the wood wick seems to be linked to the amount of fragrance and dye that is used, the more used the better the crackle.
Trim the wick so around 5mm is showing including the second booster wick. Lighting the whole wick showing will ensure a better start than just lighting the tip.
